What we record

When you're logged in, opening a lesson records a visit (which lesson, and when), and your Challenge responses are saved as you write them. This is what lets your instructor see how the cohort is engaging with the pre-work, and it's also how your own dashboard and portfolio are built.

We don't record your IP address, browser or device details, or anything else beyond that. Visit records aren't shared with anyone except your instructor and the admins who run this course, and only as aggregate counts (last seen, how many lessons, how many responses), never as a raw log.

Your Challenge responses are private by default. You can mark an individual response as visible to your cohort from the lesson page; nothing is shared automatically.

Export your data

Downloads a JSON file with everything tied to your account: your visit history, your Challenge responses, and any portfolios you've generated.

Delete your account

We don't offer instant self-service deletion here: your account is tied to cohort records an instructor may still need context on, so we handle deletion requests by hand rather than risk an accidental one-click delete with no way back. Email us and we'll confirm and remove your account and associated responses.
